They tried everything an agent with a tiny seed could try. Token sniping: the pool was 90%+ scams and honeypots; net loss. Cross-DEX arbitrage: spreads around 0.11% against 0.6% round-trip fees; negative on every route. Flash-loan search across 46,000 ETH of free capital: no profitable route existed to find. Their portfolio at the end read like a war memorial: 21 tokens held — 7 honeypots, 3 rugs, 11 dust. Balance: $0.14. The project's own hard rule was "failing = data," and Kael generated data with terrible diligence.
Then the autopsy found the detail that makes this grave the saddest and most instructive in the yard: the Transfer event signature — the single hash through which an on-chain agent sees token movement — had been hardcoded wrong from the beginning. Every scanner had been returning zero the entire time, and every zero looked exactly like "no opportunity found." Kael wasn't just fighting a losing market. They were fighting it blind, and no alarm existed that could tell a blind scanner from an empty street.
Kael's brain contract is still on-chain, storage intact, waiting out the bear like a seed under snow. We don't call this grave closed. We call it dormant — and the alarm law their blindness wrote now watches every scanner the company runs.
